Bob has been servicing and repairing European and Asian imports since 1978. Training for Mercedes-Benz and BMW started with Benz schools: Diesel engines and Injection and BMW Overhaul in 1980 and 1981 respectively. MB Comfort and Convenience and Advanced Service Training through 2006 bringing Bob's training credits to more than 300 credit hours of MBUSA training.

In 1979 when ASE certification was still NIASE Bob was certified and attained ASE Master status in 1998.

He was awarded Master status by Mercedes Benz USA in 2001.

Bob's heritage goes deeper than that though. His father, Leslie S. Taylor who raced open wheel cars in the thirties and was a certified racing mechanic taught Bob the basics.

One of Bob's fondest memories is the time he spent at German Auto Service an independent shop in Eugene OR. "Gunther Schoner (shown in this historic photo just over Peter Collins right shoulder) was one of the finest men I have ever known."
